What is Emergency Survival Food?
The simplest form of emergency survival food is bought in ready prepared kits on the internet. Designed specifically to allow a given number of adults to survive a set length of time, these kits include two meals a day and enough nutrition to keep you healthy for the duration.
These kits contain meal packs that just need water to become edible. There are a range of recipes available, but they all lean towards high calorie, high carbohydrate foods, ideal for survival situations. They will often include pasta, rice, soup, grains and meat.

Why Would You Want Emergency Survival Food?
Survivalism has something of a mixed reputation thanks to some well-publicized cranks who take it too far. In essence, survivalism is about making realistic, practical preparations for a disaster.
That doesn’t mean nuclear war any longer, or zombie attack, whatever the media would have you believe.
